Cast on 49 stitches
Row 1: Dc in 5th ch from hook, dc in next ch sp, crossing over last two dc’s dc in ch sp before first dc (forming a cross), [skip 1 ch sp and dc in next 2 ch sp, dc in skipped ch sp] repeat between[ ] 13 times, dc in last ch sp.
Rows 2-16: Turn, ch 3, [sk next dc and dc in next 2 dc, dc in skipped dc] repeat between [ ] 15 times, dc in last st.
Row 17: Turn, ch 3, dc across
Row 18: Turn, ch 3, dc next 2 st tog across
Row 19: Turn, ch 3, [dc next 2 st tog, dc in next dc] across row
Row 20: Turn, ch 3, dc across
Row 21: Turn, ch 3, [dc next 2 st tog, dc in next dc] across row
Row 22: Turn, ch 3, dc next 2 st tog, dc in next 5 st, dc next 2 st tog, dc in last st
Row 23: Turn, ch 3, dc next 2 st tog, dc in next 3 st, dc next 2 st tog, dc in last st
Rows 24-31: Turn, ch 3, dc across

Row 34: Do not turn, ch 1, reverse sc around entire edge of towel with reverse sc stitch with 3 sc in each corner and evenly spacing rev sc st at ends of rows. Join, cut thread and weave in ends.
Sew a button to row 25 to hang towel.
